We recently installed new fencing at Chumley's Depot in Melbourne and for Weston park’s neighborhood entrance right in front of Wickham Park in Melbourne. If you notice, for both jobs we used a Shadowbox-style fence. Still a wooden fence but it leaves you without a "bad side" of a fence looking the same from both sides.
Shadow Box fencing does actually have the nickname of the “neighbor friendly” style that pleases both you and your neighbor. Some air is allowed to pass through the spaces. Our shadow box fence is built using a 1x6x6 picket, a 2x4x16 runner, and a 4x4x8 post. This style is more expensive as it uses more material. However, you and your neighbor are sure to be pleased with the fence once the job is done.
